I think it’s going to be very, very difficult. For anyone who thinks that we can just play them like that, I don’t it will happen. It if happens, I take it. But it’s very, very difficult to beat them. We have analyzed them well. They are doing well, especially in their offensive transitions and always dangerous. They played 1-1 against Mali so we know what to expect. Despite the win, we can’t relax now, we have to continue. Big, big congratulations to the team for this fighting spirit. Coming from one nil down to get a late goal and be mentally strong and have the right team spirit to turn this result around. I think the boys run a lot, they did a lot of good work especially, defensive. Even though we allowed too many chances but if you watch the game closely you will see how even our offensive players were working against the ball in the heat of 42 degrees. Sometimes we missed some offensive actions, but the way they played from the front to the midfield, how Kudus, Ernest Nuamah worked defensively was massive. And this atmosphere in the stadium to survive is amazing. In the end the players that came in gave us freshness, strength and crating chances was really, really good to see. These are the kind of games that makes a team grow together. We still have to learn from the mistakes from that game. Everybody knows we have a young squad so I think it was a very, very good experience to get into the next games.On response from Kumasi fans going into his second game I was really overwhelmed the last we came here. To be honest I didn’t expect that because you can’t take that for granted especially after a bad AFCON that people are still supporting you. This is what makes me love Kumasi no matter what. In football and in every situation when you are down that is when you need support mostly and so I will; never forget what Kumasi did for us. They cheered us up and I think we had a decent game. We had 60% ball possession, we dominated them (Nigeria), we were just missing a goal. It was really, really good to see and I love coming to Kumasi and play here. Now this is surely what I expect also the support till the last whistle is made and I am very, very happy to be here. Because I know this will give extra kick to the players. Even in hard times or when things are hard they will support and it’s a good feeling. Mentally it’s good for the players to come here and know they have the backing of the Kumasi fans.On injuriesWe had some few injuries. Like I said it was a tough, tough match but it seems everybody will train fully today and I am sure that everybody will be ready for tomorrow’s game.On impact of substitutes in Mali game and having options For me, it’s very, very important. I know some might not understand sometimes if one player is called and the other not. There are so many different reasons. Sometimes a player is sick or injured, sometimes he can’t come. Sometimes he doesn’t feel strong enough to come and some players we talked to are still deciding whether to play for Ghana or for another country so it’s different reasons. But for me it’s very, very important to have different options. Sometimes you need a striker like Jordan (Ayew) who can hold the ball or somebody who goes one against one like Kudus, or sometimes you have a more defensive structure for the game. It depends on who we are playing and so for me it’s very, very decisive to see the options to score goals and also the best option how to defend and based on that plus the training, plus the games they played for their teams decides who will play but it has to fit with the opponent we have and this is very, very important for me and I was happy that the players who came in made an impact. Mumin (Abdul) was there straight, Jordan (Ayew) scored the winning goal and had a good assist where Thomas almost scored, Fatawu (Issahaku) was pressing well and looking really, really sharp, winning the ball for us to have the winning goal. Elisha (Owusu) was there on point, stopped some important attacks against us and I was really, really happy to have this bench. In all, I am happy with the squad and the way the guys presented themselves, very, very disciplined. They had a lot of fun; surely when you win you have a lot of fun but also before and the way the guys engaged with each other, I really, really like it and I think there is a lot to come for the future. Like I said Mali was a very, very good experience with a happy end. Even if we would have played 1-1, I would have been very, very happy about this squad.On Baba Yara Stadium pitchI really have to say Mali have a wonderful pitch. I know it’s difficult to judge our pitches. We wish the pitches will be better even when we trained in Accra. These are things that we need to work on all together. I hope that it will get better but this is the way it is and this is how we take it. When I was playing the pitches were worse so things are getting better gradually and I think we all have to push to make things better. But it’s not a topic for us to be honest. We are just focusing on the game; it’s the same condition for our opponents so for me it doesn’t matter. I trained and played on worse pitches.On assessment of the team in friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda and the qualifier against MaliThe good thing is that I don’t think I will ever be satisfied to be honest. It is difficult to compare the two games where we had the freedom to experiment. We had a lot of new players there; we had a lot of new players and younger players than we have now so it is very, very different. Surely I want to win and the team wants to win every game but it’s different if you have friendlies where you can prepare yourself for the official games. I will always want to win, Ghanaians always want to win but friendly games are totally different. I have to try some things and I have to get some answers to the questions I have about the player and for this I have to try new players. I have to give them chances. I have to see which positions they are capable of playing and how they combine in various formations so for me we want to win every game but you can’t compare friendly games to the official games.On Ghanaians seeing the World Cup an opportunity for visa and the pressure associated with itPressure is part of football and to be honest when I was playing there was much more pressure because there you have to play. You have to be disciplined on the pitch and this is way, way tougher than being a coach. I can just talk like you guys (Journalists). If I want to make it easy, if it doesn’t work then I will say the players didn’t do what I said. So it’s very, very easy for me. We all want to go. Some have been to the World Cup already, for some it will be the first time, for some it could be the last time so it’s always a big, big thing for the national team to qualify. What I can say from my point of view, I had the experience and to be honest the pressure in the two games against Nigeria was much, much higher because sometimes I think people forget where we are coming from. Before the World Cup we came out of the African Cup in the first round. Now also its not so easy to prepare a team for that matter to have everybody switching to my style of play and to be attentive, and to be positive and to believe after such a bad tournament. To be believe in the coaches, to believe in their team mates and themselves is very, very difficult so again, big, big props to the players for adapting to my style so fast. We had one week of training and I think they really, really did well and that is why they got rewarded with this win.On whether the team understands that people view the World Cup as an opportunity to travel to the USA for greener pasturesSure. Every player wants to go to the World Cup no matter what is it. I don’t know, may be Ghanaians should know that there are a lot of job opportunities in Qatar as well. But surely we just want to go there. Everybody wants to go there, not only us, also Mali, also the other teams, also Central African Republic. They all want to go there. They will die to go there and our players as well. I can see in the last game and I can feel in training where players are fighting for their spots, and we have to stop the training and calm them down sometimes so I can really feel how the players are eager to win and the players are giving their all to qualify for this World Cup.On Central African Republic stretching Ghana the last time we met and approach  I can’t be too specific with the approach because I don’t know what our opponents to know what we are trying to do. I know their strength is offensive transitions, we have to stop that. And once we stop that we have the opportunity to score a goal. I will bring the formation which is the freshest for the mostly likely positions to outscore them. But they have proven against Mali that can play a draw or win against any team so that will be tough. And surely, we prepared ourselves and watched a lot of matches and we have had a lot of analysis. And I am very sure that we have picked the right things out on where we have to improve. And also the right solutions on how we can play them out and if things work out, we will win this game.On playing a team considered as a minnow and its importanceIt’s a very, very important game. Like I said from the beginning, we have to take it serious; it’s going to be tough. Like in the past, I think we had problems when we are the favorites and now it was for us to use these three days to work on solutions on how we can outplay them. Which positions we can take, how we can position ourselves to bring out our biggest strength, especially on our offensive players. And I am confident that it will work but action speaks louder than words so we have to see what happens tomorrow. He died on Thursday in London at the age of 40 after a long battle with stroke. 
 
 Agogo will be remembered fondly for his contributions at 2008 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil where he scored three goals in six outings as the Black Stars settled for a third-place. 
 
 The former Nottingham Forest and Zamalek player spent most of his professional career in England and scored a total of 113 goals in 350 league games over 15 years.

The Black Stars will play Ethiopia  but they are bottom in Group F with three points, trailing group leaders Kenya and Ethiopia who have seven points and four points respectively but with two games less. 
 
Ghana's Black Stars have finally opted to camp in Naivasha, Kenya, ahead of their penultimate AFCON 2019 qualifier against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa on November 18. 
A source close to the senior national team confirmed to the Graphic Sports last Saturday the team’s plans for the Ethiopia clash, as well as the return of the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan, to the national team after a year's hiatus. 
 
The source explained that the Stars’ technical handlers settled on the resort town of Naivasha, which is 76 Km from the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, due to the first class facilities there. 
 
On September 8, the Stars lost 0-1 to Kenya’s Harambee Stars in a group qualifier at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi. 
 
The source pointed out that despite Kenya’s interest in the AFCON qualifiers, the Stars handlers considered Naivasha as the ideal camping ground because it had a similar high altitude just like Ethiopia. 
 
Coach Kwasi Appiah and his players are expected to assemble at their familiar camping base at least five days before the crucial game against Ethiopia, whom they walloped 5-0 in the opening AFCON qualifier in Kumasi on June 11, 2017. 
 
Another refreshing news is the much-anticipated return of the Ayews who last featured for Ghana on September 1, 2017. 
 
Andre, who is on loan at Turkish side Fenerbahce, and younger brother, Jordan, of Crystal Palace, skipped a crucial Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Congo in Brazzaville on grounds of ill-health. 
 
Their action was viewed as a lack of commitment to the team and put them on a collision course with Coach Appiah, who opted to stick with the group of players who stood with him in those difficult times. 
 
Since then, the relationship between Appiah and the Ayews has been nothing but acrimonious until recently when the coach spoke with the two players on telephone prior to the botched Sierra Leone qualifier last month. 
 
According to the coach, the days where players merely walked into the national team to pick up jerseys, or cherry-picked matches they wanted to feature in, were over as he was bent on ensuring stiff competition for every position. 
 
The return of Andre and Jordan is expected to sharpen the Stars attack as they join teammates such as the captain Asamoah Gyan, Emmanuel Boateng, Abdul-Majeed Waris, Raphael Dwamena and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom to provide the coach with a lot of options to select from. 
 
Andre has been on target twice for Fenerbahce this season in the Turkish Super Lig, while Jordan is yet to find target for Palace in the English Premiership. 
 
Ghana are bottom in Group F with three points, trailing group leaders Kenya and Ethiopia who have seven points and four points respectively but with two games less.

Despite being the favourites to win Group F which also have Ethiopia and Sierra Leone, the Black Stars need to beat the Harambee Stars to consolidate their perfect run in the qualifiers. 
 
 The four times AFCON winners humiliated Ethiopia with a 5-0 thrashing in the first group game.

Kenya were 2-1 losers to Sierra Leone in their first group fixture and would want to make amends this weekend by beating Ghana to bright their chances of making it to Africa's flagship tournament for the first time since their last appearance in 2004. 
 
 Ghana's biggest victory in football history was against Kenya in 1965 where the Black Stars walloped the Harambee Stars 13-2 in an international friendly in Mombasa.

Kenya beat Ghana in 2003 in an international friendly played in Accra.

It is their only victory over the Black Stars in seven clashes. Two have ended in a draw and four wins to Ghana.

TEAM NEWS</h2>
Black Stars trainer Kwesi Appiah made the journey with twenty players excluding all-time top scorer and skipper Asamoah Gyan along with Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew. 
 
 The only new face in the squad is Royal Antwerp's Williams Owusu who could be making his Ghana debut on Saturday if selected.

After four years absence from the national team, Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah makes a return and is expected to make an appearance against the Harambee Stars on Saturday. 
 
 The Eastern Africa nation has been dealt a big blow since star player and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama couldn't turn up due to an injury.

ZESCO United's Anthony Agay Akumu is expected to fill the big void left by Wanyama.

ZESCO United duo David Owino and Jesse Jackson Were look very doubtful for starting roles on Saturday due to injuries they are carrying.

KENYA'S TACTICS</h2>
Sebastien Migne will be facing the Black Stars with a 4-4-2 formation when attacking and 4-3-3 when defending.

With Anthony Agay Akumu replacing Victor Wanyama, Belgium and Sweden based Johanna Omollo and Eric Johanna along with Gor Mahia’s Francis Kahata will complete the midfield for the hosts. 
 
 At the back, David “Cheche” Ochieng' and Musa Mohammed would be playing as the centre backs. 
 
 Abud Omar and Philemon Otieno could occupy the right and left back slots.

With Japan-based striker Michael Olunga and Ovella Ochieng' who plies his trade in Sweden partnering in attack.

Kwesi Appiah will be deploying an attacking 4-4-2 to face the Harambee Stars on the weekend.

With Richard Ofori as the goalkeeper, Harrison Afful and Daniel Opare are expected to share the right and left back positions whilst one of Nicholas Opoku will partner Daniel Amartey in central defence. 
 
 Afriyie Acquah will be marshaling the midfield with either Inter Milan's Kwadwo Asamoah or Ebenezer Ofori with Belgium based Nana Ampomah and Christian Atsu on the right and left wings.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey would be joining Raphael Dwamena in attack.

Joy News sources say three officials from FIFA arrived in Ghana Thursday evening for a crucial meeting with the Sports Ministry following government's decision to initiate a process to dissolve the Ghana Football Association (GFA). 
 
The meeting will discuss recent developments at the GFA and government’s ongoing legal process to dissolve the Association following Anas Aremeyaw Anas’s investigative documentary. 
 
The explosive documentary captured some top officials of GFA allegedly accepting bribes to fix matches and change the natural outcome of some games. 
 
Former GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, was also seen in the video allegedly convincing undercover agents to bribe top government officials for a chance to control football in Ghana. 
 
The FIFA Council Member has since been charged with defrauding by false pretence and could be sentenced to prison for 25 years if found guilty. 
 
Also, Mr Nyantakyi's conduct in carving percentages for himself in a sponsorship for the Ghana Premier League has also led him to an investigation by FIFA who have already slapped Nyantakyi with a 90-day ban, as it looks into the allegations. 
 
Until this temporary ban, Nyantakyi was a member of the FIFA Council, member of the FIFA Associations Committee, First Vice President of CAF and President of Zone B of the West African Football Union (WAFU). 
 
 
 
Ahead of the meeting between FIFA and the Sports Ministry Friday, Chairman of Parliament’s Youth and Sports Committee, Alex Agyekum, said he expects FIFA to ban Ghana. 
 
Mr. Agyekum also announced that the work of Parliament’s Special Committee established to probe the bribery allegations against some officials at the GFA has been truncated because of government’s resolve to dissolve it. 
 
Last week, an Accra High Court granted the government a 10-day injunction preventing GFA officials from undertaking all football-related activities. 
 
Attorney General, Gloria Akuffo, says it would be irresponsible and an act of criminality should the government fail to dissolve the GFA following the fallout from the documentary. 
 
The meeting was initially scheduled to take place at FIFA's headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland but instead, the world football governing body has decided to send its officials to Ghana. 
 
The meeting is also being held at the request of the Ghana government after the steps to overhaul GFA. 
 
Government’s eventual target of dissolving the FA has drawn FIFA into the situation especially as the body has rules against government intervention in the running of football in its member states.

Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi, tried to rope in the controversial Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, into his purported corrupt deals. 
 
In investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ documentary expose on corruption within Ghana football, the GFA Boss is seen telling undercover reporters that Kennedy Agyapong was a loose cannon and would be a stumbling block. 
 
“There is a man called Kennedy Agyapong. He is an MP. He is one of the biggest financiers of the NPP. He is very loud. He owns OMAN FM and NET2 TV. He is criticising the government, his own government, yes. He wants to control everything,” Kwesi Nyantakyi tells the undercover team. 
 
The sentiment is ostensibly shared by the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Anthony Karbo, according to Kwesi Nyantakyi exchange with the undercover team. 
 
    “…because of the ways he [Kennedy Agyapong] put into the campaign, nobody can call him to order. They will be begging him when he is insulting them. So Karbo was saying that after the President and the Vice President, we should involve him.” 
 
It is unclear how much information Kennedy Agyapong has on the expose. 
 
But the MP has been on the warpath against Anas describing him as corrupt and manipulative. 
 
Kennedy Agyapong has insisted that Anas’ alleged act of corruption warrant the death sentence. 
 
Kwesi Nyantakyi was the first person publically implicated ahead of the documentary screening. 
 
He is said to have used the name of the President, the Vice President and other senior officers of the government to collect money and lure supposed foreign investors interested in establishing businesses in Ghana. 
 
President Nana Akufo-Addo filed a complaint at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service after a security briefing on the expose. 
 
Anthony Karbo was also caught up in the early fall out when snippets of the documentary’s content started emerging. 
 
In the video, Kwesi Nyantakyi alleged that Anthony Karbo was his middleman to get potential investors to the presidency. 
 
The Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways was invited by the CID and interrogated on Monday, May 28, 2018. 
 
Anas’ expose, dubbed #Number12, focuses on corruption in football and football administration. 
 
Many Ghanaian FA officials and referees were also caught in match-fixing deals. 
 
Top football administrators are also reportedly seen taking money to give footballers call-ups to the national team and more playing time. 
 
Notably, Eddie Doku, the Greater Accra Regional FA boss, has been caught on tape taking a bribe to influence game times for a player in the Black Stars Team B.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has ordered the arrest of President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi, for defrauding by false pretences and influence peddling. 
 
Nana Akufo-Addo ordered the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to arrest Mr Nyantakyi after being privy to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Number 12 undercover documentary, which exposed the GFA president as using the name of the president for certain purposes. 
 
Anas Aremeyaw Anas has scheduled 6 June to premier the undercover piece which took him over two years to put together. 
 
Just a week ago, Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul-Malik Kweku Baako Jr., said a well-known lawyer tried bribing Anas Aremeyaw Anas to edit out scandalous findings against “a man” believed to be in the GFA, in the yet-to-be premiered Number 12 piece. 
 
Speaking about the piece, Mr Baako Jr. told Randy Abbey on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana programme on Thursday, 17 May that: “Look, this one, this GFA one, there was an attempt to bribe him, OK”. 
 
He said: “There was an attempt because there is a lawyer – and I’m sorry I won’t mention his name, of course he may know it's him, maybe he is watching us – who is close to Anas and who knew that this job was going on, and I think he went and did some ‘Okro mouth’, so, somebody now tries to give him money to go and give to Anas. 
 
“The lawyer took the money and was scared to go and deliver it to Anas. So, eventually he [lawyer] had to go back to the man and say: ‘[I couldn’t deliver the bribe], take it’. But of course we have found out. He’s a lawyer, very good lawyer, prominent lawyer”, Mr Baako Jr. said. 
 
On the same show, Mr Baako Jr. said the exposé will render the careers of some top people in tatters. 
 
“It’s a disaster, sometimes we are all human beings with some weaknesses here and there and I feel sorry for some because some are friends. If I had my way, perhaps, I would say: ‘Leave this alone’, but Anas is a different breed of animal and I have never ever in my life attempted to influence him. He brings it, I look at it, we can defend it, I say: ‘Proceed’. So, there are people whose careers or integrities may, perhaps, be in tatters.”

Bastie Samir is 31 years old and was born on May 19, 1986. Bastie is nicknamed “The Beast”, he has an impressive record of knocking out all his opponents in his 15 bouts. 
 
He won the African Amateur Championships in the welterweight division in May 2007

In October 2017, ‘The Beast’ knocked out famed Ghanaian boxer, Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku in a much-anticipated bout. 
 
Samir, an undefeated former captain of Ghana’s amateur boxing team ended Bukom Banku’s 28-0-0 unbeaten record on the exciting boxing night that drew thousands of enthusiasts including former boxing champions, Ike Quartey and Azumah Nelson. 
 
Ahead of the much-anticipated bout, Bukom Banku vowed to knock Bastie out in the 6th Round and said he was going to force him into coma on the night, but that was not meant to be. 
 
Bastie knocked out Banku in style at his backyard, the Bukom Boxing Arena before thousands of boxing fans.

Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a 1-1 draw game by Bechem United at the Babayara Sports Stadium on Sunday. 
 
Patrick Razak came off the bench to score late in the game and cancel out Hafiz Konkoni's early strike in the first half. 
 
The Phobians missed a lot of good chances to find the leveler but they were mightily relieved when Razak rounded the keeper to claw a point from the jaws of defeat for Hearts. 
 
Assistant Coach Edward Odoom, taking charge for the second consecutive game in the absence of Henry Wellington, who's recovering from illness, made four changes to the side that lost to Karela in midweek. 
 
Theophilus Jackson was handed his first league start in Hearts colours whilst Fatawu, Akrofi, and Cosmos returned to the starting XI. 
 
But it was a calamitous start for the former WAFA goalie, who blundered in as early as the fifth minute of the game to allow Bechem to take the lead. Jackson failed to deal with an innocuous cross from the right side, letting the ball slip through his fingers for Konkoni to walk the ball home. 
Hearts had come into the game with full determination but the manner of the goal sapped away their confidence. 
 
However, they battled their way back and pushed Bechem back for long spells. Cobbinah, Esso, Cosmos, and Kordie all went close but neither was able to put the ball at the back of the net. 
Coach Odoom threw on Razak for Akrofi with five minutes to the end of the first half. 
 
Hearts continued to press after the break and though they came mightily close on four occasions, a combination of diffident finishing and lack of luck ensured they could not find the back of the net. 
Cosmos tested the Bechem keeper with a snapshot just after the break. Addo followed pretty shortly but he blazed over after latching on Bonney's cross. 
 
Then the Phobians began to stretch the Bechem defense but when the opportunities opened, they just could not finish. 
 
Razak and Cobbinah combined in the box, but though the Hearts No.10 could not fire on target, the ball kindly fell for Cosmos at the back post but his effort was blocked on the line twice by the goalkeeper. Esso pounced on the rebound but he laid it for Bonney, yet the defender's shot was headed off the line for a corner kick. 
 
Hearts had done all they could to get the equalizer but they were finally rewarded in the last attack of the game. Addo sent a long ball from deep for Cosmos to chest and control before clipping it over the Bechem defense for Razak to chase.
