Africa day 2018, which took place from Thursday May 24th – Sunday May 27th at Wandsbeker Marktplatz Hamburg, Germany under the leadership of Sylvaina Gerlich - President of IMIC e.V. with a diverse and inspiring music and information program.
This year's Africa Day presents itself on the Wandsbeker marketplace under the motto "Africa Day 2018 - Culture, Education, Business" (24 to 27 May 2018), traditionally under the patronage of District Director Thomas Ritzenhoff.

"Africa day" has become an established event since 2012, African and German citizens celebrate a colorful, intercultural festival with vibrant music and dance performances, exotic food and exciting topics, in the country and information tents, in panel discussions, presentations and readings.
About 15,000+ Africans, Afro-Germans, and Hamburgers came to the Wandsbeker market square this year to take a look around sunny May weather. this year "Africa day" was more than last year, every place was fully packed, surrounded by a tent city with an open-air stage, through the help of the Organizer Sylvaina Gerlich and the IMIC e.V. team.
