FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017
Report from U-17 FIFA World Cup 2017 indicates that, Ghana Black Starlets qualified as winners of Group "A" by beating the host nation 'India'.







According to GhanaSky.com analyst, the knockout stage of the U-17 FIFA World Cup is what usher the FIFA soccer competition to first, second and the third place, following the group stage.

From GhanaSky.com, two teams will qualify from each group A, B, C, D, E and F.
That makes it a total of 12 teams (2×6).

Then four best 3rd placed teams will join the 12 teams to make it  a total of 16 and that is why USA U-17 team qualified to the next stage of the competition.





To make things simpler for the average fan, here's an explainer of the overall qualification criteria and scenarios for each group:

The four best teams among those ranked third will be determined by the following criteria:

1. Points obtained in all group matches
2. Goal difference in all group matches
3. Number of goals scored in all group matches
4. Fair play points
5. Drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee


The rankings of teams in each group are determined as:

1. Points obtained in all group matches
2. Goal difference in all group matches
3. Number of goals scored in all group matches


If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above criteria, their rankings are then determined as follows:

    Points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned
    Goal difference in the group matches between the teams concerned
    Number of goals scored in the group matches between the teams concerned
    Fair play points
    Drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee
