Report reaching GhanaSky.com shows that, the controversial miracle worker and the founder of the International God’s Way Church Bishop Daniel Obinim has been used by the NDC government as scapegoat according to the lawyer.

The letter that caused Obinim’s arrest, "We are by this letter humbly requesting your office to help Mr. Bismark Kusi recover the said amount from this ‘man of God’" the letter read.

Counsel for the bishop, Atta Akyea, described the letter as “anaemic”. He believes the governing National Democratic Congress it behind the letter which is aimed at disgracing his client and diverting attention from the remission President John Mahama granted the Montie 3.

"Now we all see how fraudulent religion is? Do we also see how incompetent our government institutions are?  This is a man that claims to be a messenger of Christ just like Apostle Paul. If the government who is supposed to provide jobs, shelter, food and other necessities fail, people like Obinim will always prevail because they seem capable within the eyes of their followers to be more proactive than the government." comments by Kwesi jones Kumi

"The african has always been religious. You can't do away with religion in our part of the world, because even the politician hides behind religion to manipulate the electorate." comments by Edem Edem Edem
