The deputy general secretary of the New Democratic Congress, Koku Anyidoho has admonished all NDC supporters to guard themselves against being broken by the Wednesday Supreme court ruling which saw three contemnors handed a four-month jail term.
“There is no party position yet but I am encouraging all NDC supporters let not our spirit be broken,” Anyidoho said in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Starr FM Wednesday evening.

The host of the ‘Pampaso’ political show on Accra-based Montie FM, Salifu Maase, alias Mugabe, and the two panelists, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn, were found guilty after they were triad for defying and lowering the authority of the courts.

“I am saddened by what went on today and wherever right now, Mogabi I’m with you and the other two” adding “they may have spoken out of terms but the antecedents should have been considered before the harsh jail term”

“All am saying is that our spirit is not broken, my spirit is not broken. Things happen to dampen one’s spirit but it one’s ability to pull themselves together that makes the difference.”

The panelists, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn, who were on Montie FM on Wednesday June 29 threatened to kill the Supreme and High Court Judges who were sitting on a case on the voters register, if they dare pass any judgment against the Electoral Commission (EC).

As part of the judgement, the three have been charged a GHC1000 fine to be paid by the end of Thursday July 28, 2016.
