Information reaching GHANASKY.COM and ACCRA24.COM indicate that, a researcher at the University of Ghana Medical School, Dr. Dominic Gyamfi  is warning of dire consequence in the use of food packing plastic materials.

According to GHANASKY.COM analyst through Yen News, Dominic Gyamfi stated; plastic materials such as polythene bags, plastic bowls and take way packs contains harmful chemicals which is very dangerous to the health of consumers.

“Wrapping banku with polythene is equivalent to smoking 136 sticks of cigarette" 

Most of the foods on the market are deadly and toxic. Scientifically, plastics will fade and the chemicals will leach into the food we consume and this can cause blockages in to the veins, leading to cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and stroke” he stressed.

Dominic Gyamfi has revealed that 80 percent of deaths in Ghana could have been avoided if people are careful of what they consume.
