In an era where the Government of Ghana led by President John Dramani Mahama has admitted times are hard for the majority of citizens and further subscribed to an IMF programme for 918 million dollars to consolidate fiscal discipline, a minister has been spotted throwing money on a musician as if pieces of paper.

A video in the possession of London/Accra-based Rainbow Radio 87.5FM shows the Minister of Roads Hon. Inusah Fuseini and his wife throwing different denominations of Ghana cedis onto an unknown musician.

The event that took place at Tamale in the Northern Regional Capital was to launch a song in praise of the MP cum Minister.

The song sang in Dagbani ( the language of the Dagomba ethnic group) is translated to mean ''the life and political appointment of the Minister is a gift from God, and it pains his (Minister's) enemies. And that the Minister continue to shine in the eyes of his enemies.

Information gathered by Rainbow Radio from people who were at the event is that GHC56, 000 was thrown on the ground at various stages of the performance while the Minister bought the album for GHC20, 000.

Some worried NDC gurus in the Northern Region have expressed worry at the Minister's open display of opulence despite the loud cry by many citizens.
