The committee is probing allegations of judicial bribery against some judges.
Private legal practitioner, John Ndebugri first challenged the legality of Anas wearing his signature mask before the committee when it commenced work last month, but he was overruled.
Reliable sources say the issue was once again raised today by lawyer for one of the judges, Egbert Faibille Jnr.
Sources say he was also overruled. Unhappy with the ruling, Mr. Faibille and his client declined to be part of the ongoing probe until an appeal against the ruling is determined.
Lawyers for the judges being investigated have insisted that Anas and his Tiger Eye who are making the allegations must remove their hoods so the accused and their lawyers can see them and cross-examine them.
They believe allowing the investigative journalists to argue their case before the committee whilst veiled is a violation of the fundamental human rights of the accused.
The lawyers are insisting the country's laws on the procedure to take evidence are being seriously compromised.
Egbert Faibille and his lawyers may be arguing this forcefully and insisting that his client's rights must be protected.
The three-member committee was constituted by the Chief Justice, Georgina Wood, following a petition by Anas asking for the impeachment of 34 judges and magistrates he captured on camera allegedly taking bribes.
