German-born Ghanaian footballer Phil Ofosu-Ayeh is to earn his first senior national team call-up, Kasapa Sports can say.

Ofosu-Ayeh, who is born to a German mother and Ghanaian father, and plays for second-tier German side Eintracht Braunschweig, will play in Ghana’s planned international friendlies for October 9 and 13.

A good addition, this wouldn’t be the first time he is getting to play for Ghana as he was given a call-up in the lead up to the preliminary Ghana U-20 squad for the 2011 Africa Youth Championship. He however failed to make the trip as his club at the time SV Wilhelmshaven didn’t grant him permission.

Kasapa Sports understands the Ghana Football Association has already written to his current club, paving way for the player to join the team for the matches against Peru and Canada.
