Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Ursula Owusu Ekuful, has encouraged students in her constituency to make education a priority as that is the only way to success.

She made the advice while addressing students at a ceremony to mark her 51st birthday.

“I could have chosen to have a birthday party to celebrate with my friends but I think it is incumbent on us to spend memorable occasions in a more meaningful way. Education is what has made me what I am today. If I can speak English and if I am a lawyer today, then it is as a result of education,” Ursula said.

She distributed items which included 10,000 branded exercise books, laptops, drinks and some Carex products to students in the constituency.

The donation was in collaboration with Carex health products which seeks to educate people to stay neat and avoid sickness.

For her part, Brands and Activation Manager for personal care, Ewuraba Ekua Edusei educated students on the importance of hand washing saying it is a healthy measure to rid themselves of germs and avoid communicable diseases.
