They spoke on Fox FM morning show in Kumasi.
They are also angry with the leader of the Ghana Freedom Party; Madam Akua Donkor over some insults she is alleged to have uttered. The old women are also unhappy the President took her along to Italy on his recent visit. They say she doesn’t deserve the government attention she is getting.
“That woman does not know anything and opens her mouth to insult, she can cause a war with her utterances but we are ready to take her on if she doesn’t comport herself.
They called on other aged people who are distressed at the current power situation to join them for their meetings as the prepare for the “merewa esu demonstration”.
An NDC communicator, Kwaku Boahen however asked the aged women to back off politics for the sake of their integrity since they seem to be singing the tunes of the NPP. “Back off from this politicking and leave it to politicians to do so your dignity remains intact”, he said in Akan.
