Some old women who demonstrated on the streets of Kumasi some months ago are set to embark on the second leg of their naked demo in Accra.

This time against Founder and Leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor for ill-advising President John Dramani Mahama and inflaming passions among political leaders in the country.

“Madam Akua Donkor is trying to trigger conflict in the country through her comments and continuous insults of politicians and persons of good stature in the country like Nana Akufo-Addo and Kwesi Nduom…she is not advising the
President who she calls a son properly…,” leader of the Group, Maame Serwaa said on Adom FM’s Evening News on Monday, July 27, 2015.

The Kumasi oldies in June staged the most popular ‘Mbrewa Esu’ demo in the Garden City against the government for failing to solve the three-year old power crisis.

The second leg of their demonstration which would be against the female politician, Maame Serwaa said, is a form of warning to Akua Donkor for insulting politicians.

She further warned Ghanaians to be wary of the maverick politician whom according to Maame Serwaa in the run-up to the 2012 elections campaigned against President John Mahama and labeled him a thief and ‘murderer’.

“Ghanaians ought to be careful of this lady who is an ex-convict and once stole a god because she strongly campaigned against Mahama and labeled him a thief and murder…,” she said.

Maame Serwaa believes Madam Akua Donkor is only showering false praises on President Mahama just to take money from the government.

The GFP Leader responded that although she campaigned against President Mahama in 2012, she now follows him because of his good works.

She added that the demonstration masterminded by opposition politicians will be meaningless.

“They are jealous of me…they are being pushed by the some people who poured acid on their Chairman but this would not stop today or tomorrow…,” she rebutted.
